Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is famous for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills and Kim Mills on ABC's Lost television show. Originating from Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school and moved in Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. While struggling financially she landed her first role as Rachel's Room's main character the web-based video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. Her portrayal in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the character in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was keen to pursue film after starring opposite Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. The actress starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. The actress reprised her character in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation to the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Her other roles are as an agent of the Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a singer in Frank 2014, and in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the main character. The debut of Gyllenhaal as a writer and director was in 2021 with The Lost Daughter, a psychological thriller for which she received the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. The film also was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
