Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. She relocated to Oxfordshire when she was five and enrolled in the Dragon School. From the age of six Emma realized she would like to be an actress and for several years, she was a student at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied singing dancing and acting. At the age of 10, Emma had taken part in a variety of Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after they all had 8 consecutive auditions. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. It was also the film that was most popular in 2001. The opening weekend and day sales were record-breaking. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film, as well as the performances by the three young actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance. Emma's performance was nominated and was awarded five awards in the film.
